More than 25 Media Personnel of “AAJ TV” given first aid training by Pakistan Red Crescent Sindh

Pakistan Red Crescent Society Sindh Branch has organized First Aid Training for media personnel of Pakistan’s faFA Training for AAj TV Pic-6mous News Channel “AAJ TV” on the occasion of celebrating 67 years of Pakistan Red Crescent Society. The training was attended by more than 25 journalists including cameramen, health & crime reporters and office bearers of Aaj TV where they were taught how to save lives in emergency situations.

 

Provincial Media Officer of the Red Crescent Aftab Madni in his welcome address emphasized the importance of the subject and said that the accidents, bomb blasts and other emergencies are frequent, and journalists are generally the first to arrive at the scene. If they know the basics of first aid, they can save many lives while also protecting themselves.

 

FA Training for AAj TV Pic-3Saqib Ahmed, Junior Training of Red Crescent said that first aid training course in AAj TV is organized to learn simple skills which could make all the difference if an emergency happened on their doorstep. The training course taken just few hours but it given participants the knowledge and confidence to become lifesavers if a colleague, friend or family member falls ill or is injured, and they are called upon to help. The course covered common first aid scenarios including what to do if someone is choking, unconscious or bleeding, and how to treat a burn or fracture. It will also help participants spot the warning signs of a heart attack or stroke, and give them the tools to step in and act.

 

In last, all participants were awarded participation certificates and First Aid Boxes.
