Sindh Red Crescent celebrated International Youth & Independence Day

Youth & Volunteer Department of Pakistan Red Crescent Sindh Provincial branch celebrated International Youth Day titled “Youth Building Peace” at Akbar Public School.

Speaking on the occasion the guest speakers and Red Crescent Youth Clubs members /students participants highlighted expand youth’s support in basic leadership and giving them access to quality training, education, health care, human services and fundamental administration. The theme of International Youth Day 2017 is “Youth Building Peace”.

The Provincial Secretary of PRCS, Sindh Kanwar Waseem explained the importance of the celebration of International Youth and Independence Day. Further, he said that the Pakistani youth have never hold-up behind when called upon to meet any challenge. It is for the national leaders to play their part by mobilizing the youth abilities and providing them with suitable opportunities.

Earlier Mr. Atif Hussain PRCS, Youth & Volunteer department welcomed the invites and explain the aims of the occasion. The function was concluded with a vote of Thanks by Principal’s Dr. Ghulam Khawaja of Akbar Public School.

The ceremony was also attended by a number of PRC Volunteers and staff members of the Society. National songs and Tabelo were performed by the students on the occasion. In last, certificates of merit were awarded by the Chief Guest. The youth & volunteer department of PRCS, Sindh was presented shield to the school management and chief guest of the event.
