Flood victims thank Pakistan Red Crescent for clean drinking water

Since August 28, Pakistan Red Crescent has installed a water purification plant and deployed a team of professional volunteers to provide clean drinking water to the flood victims in Johi taluka of Dadu district.

According to Waseem Khan, a senior volunteer posted in Juhi, the plant produces more than 20,000 litres of clean drinking water, benefiting more than 2,000 people on a daily basis. “Humans can live for many days without food, but it is very difficult to survive without water”, said a PRCS-Sindh volunteer. He added that it brings us great happiness and satisfaction to provide safe drinking water to these flood-affected people, especially when they express their gratitude.

The Water Purification Plant costs around PKR 70,000 per day to operate, but safe drinking water saves the lives of flood victims and prevents illness. So, a lot of people are waiting for this facility. If you want to help flood-affected people in Sindh get clean water to drink, donate to the Pakistan Red Crescent Sindh.
